Magic Soap since my teenage years because it’s strong enough to get them really clean, but gentle enough that I still have some of those same brushes I bought 35 years ago!!! I’ve developed a washing process that’s a real meditative act for me, and it starts with sorting my brushes into two categories: 1. Those I use to apply cream, liquid, or long-wear products 2. Those I use for powder products like blush, bronzer, and eyeshadow I like to use the bar soap for category #1, and liquid for category #2. I choose the unscented version because although I’ve personally never had a reaction from any of the essential oils in Dr Bronner’s soaps, I figure better safe than sorry.
