Aspect ratio

1.91 : 1 (landscape). Off-ratio images get cropped on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter summary_large_image cards.

File size & format

Under 8 MB (Facebook's hard limit). Ideal is under 1.5 MB. JPEG, PNG, or WebP for max scraper compatibility.

URL

Always absolute and HTTPS. Relative paths and mixed content get silently dropped by LinkedIn and some Slack integrations.
